Hang Lin

Hang Lin is currently professor of history at Hangzhou Normal University. He has obtained his MA and PhD from University of Wuerzburg (Germany), followed by a post-doc project at University of Hamburg. His research interests focus on the borders and frontiers of north China, history and ethnography of northeast Asia, and archaeology and material culture of the Silk Road. His recent publications include Tracing Manuscripts in Time and Space through Paratexts (co-edited with Giovanni Ciotti; Berlin: De Gruyter, 2016) and multiple articles in Journal of Medieval History, Journal of Urban History, Archiv Orientalni etc.
