Bai Ying

Bai Ying, male, of Oroqen ethnicity, Part-time Research Fellow at the Arctic Studies Center of Liaocheng University, was born on May 18, 1961, in Oroqen Autonomous Banner, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia. He studied oil painting in the Department of Fine Arts at the Central Institute for Nationalities (now Minzu University of China) from 1981 to 1985 and obtained a bachelor's degree. After graduation, he has been working at the National Museum of China to this day, mainly focusing on oil painting creation with ethnic cultural themes and undertaking the development and research of relevant ethnic cultural projects in the museum. In addition, he also holds social positions such as Director of the China Committee of the Promotion of the Minority Art, Member of the Beijing Artists Association (BAA), Executive Director of the Oroqen Ethnic Research Association, and Vice President of the Oroqen Ethnic Culture Protection Association. He has a profound understanding and perception of the culture and art of northern ethnic groups and various ethnic groups in the pan-Arctic circle, and expresses his understanding and thinking on the traditional culture, art and life concepts of these ethnic groups from multiple angles through painting creation, exhibitions and other forms.
