Liaocheng University (LCU) has been accepted as a new member of the Uarctic

Liaocheng University (LCU) has been accepted as a new member of the Uarctic (University of the Arctic) during the 2020 Meeting of the Assembly of UArctic held in Copenhagen, Denmark, February 25-27. The Director of  LCU Arctic Studies Center (ASC),  Professor Feng Qu represented LCU to attend the assembly and delivered a brief presentation about ASC at LCU, a newly-established institute which focuses on Arctic social sciences.


UArctic was created at the direction of the Arctic Council, a global intergovernmental initiative that promotes cooperation and collaboration between Arctic nations and indigenous groups. The membership in the UArctic will bring LCU faculty, researchers and students the opportunity to connect with international education/research network on the Arctic studies.
