Professor Oleg Pakhomov participated in the 62nd Annual Convention of the International Studies Association

        On April 7, 2021, Professor Oleg Pakhomov published a paper entitled "East Asian Civilization and the Problem of Regional Integrity " at the International Studies Association in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

        The paper examines East Asia as regional civilization whose enduring characteristics emerged from long-term relations towards Chinese model of centralized state. Specifically all political institutes of centralized statehood in Korea and Japan both during traditional and modern periods developed in relation to China.


      On April 9, 2021. Professor Oleg Pakhomov participated in the 62nd Annual Convention of the International Studies Association, the theme of the Convention is “Globalization, Regionalism and Nationalism: Contending Forces in World Politics.”

      The International Studies Association (ISA) is a professional Association of scholars, practitioners and graduate students in the field of international studies. Founded in 1959, it now has more than 6,200 members in 80 countries and is one of the most respected and widely known Bridges of academic collaboration in this field.
